About Puttabong Estate
The Puttabong Tea Estate (originally known as Tukvar) is the oldest tea garden in Darjeeling, founded in 1852. Spanning over 436 hectares at altitudes up to 2,000 meters, the estate overlooks the confluence of the Rangeet and Rung Dung rivers. Its cool temperatures, mist-laden mornings, and loamy soil produce teas renowned for clarity, aroma, and the signature muscatel flavor.
This exceptional Second Flush Darjeeling captures the prized character of its high Himalayan terroir. Hand-plucked leaves yield a shimmering amber cup with notes of ripe muscat grapes, stone fruit, and honeyed spice, finishing with the crisp briskness that defines true Darjeeling elegance.
