Our Hōjicha is cultivated by a family farm in Ujitawara that have been growing tea for over 120 years.
Hōjicha is made by roasting first or second flush sencha. Hōjicha provides a wonderful reddish-brown brew with a refreshing taste and rich and nutty aroma. It is low on caffeine and is less astringent, making it a perfect after-dinner tea.
To serve:
take 4g of tea leaves (1-2 teaspoons) and brew with 120cc of boiling water. Infuse for 20 seconds and enjoy!
